KITC – Kitties in the Cities

The only Kitten out of the City Kitties, and Tabby is the most curious playful little kitten you will know. Always asking questions and always wants to have fun, she travels the world to visit her Kitty friends and find out all about the cities where they live. Her big beautiful wide eyes take in all the sights and her perky little ears listen to every new sound that bounces around the streets and buildings of the most exciting places on the planet! So come along with Tabby and discover everything amazing and listen to the little bell around Tabby’s neck jingle with joy as she steps into a new city for the very first time.

There is no cat sweeter than ‘Sugar’, born in Rio she takes her name from the famous landmark 'Sugar Loaf Mountain' in Brazil. She loves to strut along the Ipanema Beach, when any of her Kitty friends come to visit from overseas, and play a little beach volley ball too. Her Juice Bar is the place to hang out and be seen, she does the most incredible flavour combinations and they are every colour of the rainbow! But if you want a little ‘quiet time’ to catch up on gossip with a friend, then Sugar can find a secret spot tucked away by the beach under the warm sunshine to soak up those tropical rays, after all, you need to look good for the Carnival!

There is a famous song from Australia, its actually their National Anthem, ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and its why Matilda has that name as well. Because Matilda, or ‘Tilly’ as she is known to her Kitty friends is either in the sea or in the outback. As she is a presenter for her own TV series on nature and wildlife, she is always on the move checking out the Coral Reef or in the scorching desert, studying the unique wildlife that Australia has. Combining leisure with her charity raising events for her conservation projects she makes time for those big parties, inviting her Kitty friends to chill out and have fun while they all enjoy the firework displays off the Sydney Bridge in her luxury yacht. Yes, with her trademark floppy hat, she is the famous face in Oz!

Sassy little Madison, is named after her favourite shopping street, Madison Avenue, in New York. If it’s a stylist you need, then look no further, Madison knows the cutest little dress shop or that place ‘nobody knows about’ that sells those ‘killer shoes’! Madison is always on the phone, toying with her pearls looking over designs as she runs her own fashion label online and in store. She can put together a different outfit everyday for you, vintage, classic, glamour of casual, Madison can show you how, but you need to book an appointment, cause everyone is after her advice! She is just like the city, always buzzing and she never sleeps, a new store opening to attend or an Art gallery evening its always non-stop!

To be ‘top of the class’, it helps to be from a ‘top city’ and Shanghai is just such a place! She is one smart cookie and that’s how she got her name, but she likes things to be a little different which is why it’s spelt with a K! Always jotting down notes on her laptop or tablet and creating all the graphics and information for her travel journals. Kookie is fortunate to have great friends and always makes time to send off a quick text or tweet from her smartphone. Her articles appear in all the coolest magazines and she is always being called to cover a story. You need tips on anything from where to travel or where to stay, then just ask ‘Kookie’, and she can tell you in any one of the 8 languages she can speak! She is one smart Kookie!

So many people think that Moscow is cold all the time, but actually is a city of extreme weather, very hot and humid in the summer and very cold in the winter. But its Katia's home city and she loves it! She has her very own flower shop and sells blooms from all over the world. Katia loves, tulips, roses, orchids or lilies, she knows them all and makes the most incredible flower displays with them. She travels round the city creating her displays in beautiful hotels and shopping malls. Katia is always in demand! After all, in Russia nobody likes to turn up to a dinner or birthday party without a bunch of flowers, that’s why they all queue outside her shop to buy her floral creations!

"Full of life", that's Haya, she has the widest smile and the brightest eyes and that’s what her name, Haya, means, ‘life’. She is the best host you could ever know, kind and comforting, Haya runs her own boutique hotel in the stunning city of Dubai. She furnishes every room in a unique style and she has a great eye for interior design. There is not a fabulous shopping Mall in Dubai that Haya doesn't know. If it’s a vase, a light shade or whole room that needs a makeover, Haya will do it all and leave you with as big a smile as hers. Like any good host she knows what to get and where to go in this glimmering diamond of a city in the desert. All her Kitty friends love to come and stay with her on a shopping spree.

She is a pure white cat, living in the romantic city of Paris. The French word for white is ‘Blanche’ and she likes to keep things clean and simple. Her passion for the little restaurants and bistros tucked away in the pretty Paris streets keeps her busy, writing reviews, as she darts around on her trusty vintage bicycle, with its basket full of goodies to try new recipes from the tips the chefs have given her. She has her own little patisserie where she serves the most delicious croissant and macaroons and cakes that are like a work of art. "Le Café Blanche" is always busy with musicians and artists, drinking coffee and reading their favourite books and talking long into the evening. Oh so Paris!

Oh she is called Angel after the tube station, ‘Angel’ in Islington London, and she knows the city like the back of her paw. Angel loves London for all the cool music that drifts out into the streets. You need tickets to that sold out gig, well Angel is the cat to call! Super slick with a flash of rock n roll attitude and a hairstyle to match! Always experimenting with her look she can spend hours trying on clothes, and makes her own accessories and all the time her iPod is pumping out tracks of hot new bands from London and around the world. The other Kitties all follow her music blog! She only likes to come out at night, unless its to play her guitar busking on the streets of London.
